Galloping Gnus Newsletter

Fall 2018 Newsletter

For those of you who attended our soirée at the Bonnet House in Fort Lauderdale earlier this year, you doubtless recall the presentations on the primates inhabiting Sub-Saharan Africa. For those that did not go, there are several countries in Central and Eastern Africa that offer spectacular opportunities to gorilla and/or chimpanzee trek. This fall I embarked on a trip to Odzala-Kokoua in the Republic of the Congo. Along with trekking for Lowland gorillas, I experienced other new adventurous excursions.
The accommodations and trekking were one of a kind. But then again, The Africa Adventure Company has built its reputation by offering a variety of tailor-made, one of a kind journeys. I personally curated a short list of such trips in my Expedition Collection. Be sure to view our listing of Top 20 Lodges 2019, too. Some new, some classic!
Furthermore, my trip to Odzala-Kokoua highlights another facet of AAC’s stellar reputation: our commitment to support conservation. This is one of several parks collaboratively operated by an African government and African Parks, a non-profit conservation organization.
