Governors Camp

March 26, 2013 East Africa Bush Tails

Fancy combining a safari with business? We cater for business conferences in the bush and corporate incentive groups.

We recently hosted a group of 50 people from Ogilvy and Mather, at Governors Ca mp. The group comprised 50 of their top employees from the best performing countries in the year 2012. They were ran meetings in the dinning tents with each country giving presentations on their best -selling advertisements.

We arranged all the equipment t hey needed for the conference meetings at the camp and they had the camp exclusively to themselves. We served all meals outside / in the bush which was one of the highlights of their trip. They had some game drives, where they saw a lot of game with lions leading the list. They were able to enjoy a mix of business conference and safari at the same time.

The group had a great safari and we receieved this lovely feedback from Leonie Boyle Ogilvy & Mather’s
Conference and Training Manager:
“I just wanted to say thank you both VERY much for looking after us last week. We had a fabulous time and you couldn’t have been more welcoming… The Camp is stunning, your staff so warm, welcoming and friendly and a pleasure to chat to. We all had a fabulous tim e and if the group are anything like me they will be looking back on the past 5 days thinking how lucky they are to have had a trip of a lifetime courtesy of Ogilvy.”
Here are selection of wonderful photos from the group, courtesy of Michael Vermaak. Many thanks to Michael for sharing these with us.

Village Governors
12 March, 2013

Governors Camp first opened in November 1972. Here are a selection of photos from our very first guests. They were on honeymoon and back then we on ly had 3 tents! The camp has come a long way since the early days, but its fun to look back on where we began! These photos were kindly sent to us by Mohammed Ismail who accompained them on safari. Many thanks to Mohammed for sharing these with us.
