Jessica Fraser in Zimbabwe
AAC Staff Member Jessica in Zimbabwe – Day 10
Our full day in Matabo Hills began with a very informative morning tour with Howard of the cave paintings. Howard is very knowledgeable and interesting. The hike up to the caves is fun and invigorating! In the afternoon we visited the Ethandewni orphanage and nearby school. Sundowners were enjoyed with “The view of the world”. We were fascinated to learn all about Cecil John Rhodes’ life.
AAC Staff Member Jessica in Zimbabwe – Day 09
My life-changing safari to Zimbabwe as part of AAC’s exclusive “Eyes on Elephant” is almost over. It is time to bid this magical country farewell. Before I do I raise a toast to our wonderful hosts Sharon and Phil Stead, owners of Amalinda Camp. The Matobo Hills region and Amalinda Camp was the perfect way to end my adventure. I will be posting a full write-up in the coming week.
AAC Staff Member Jessica in Zimbabwe – Day 06+07+08
Now arrived in Hwange and staying at the delightful Linkwasha Camp. Dave Carson is an amazing guide on our Eyes on Elephant Group safari. Sightings of lions at the waterhole, large herds of elephant, sable and buffalo. What a variety of wildlife at Hwange and reminds me a little of a mini Serengeti!
AAC Staff Member Jessica in Zimbabwe – Day 04+05
Never been so happy (and slightly scared at the same time)! Watching the elephants crossing on the Zambezi river from the canoe was an extraordinary experience.
AAC Staff Member Jessica in Zimbabwe – Day 02+03
Jessica is traveling to Mana Pools where Nick Murray is the guide on this section of the Eyes on Elephant departure. What spectacular scenery at this time of year and sharing some recent photos from clients who had been up close to elephants, tracked wild dog and lion.
