Clockwise from Top Left: the Maasai Mara camps in this itinerary are in prime locations to see wildebeest river-crossings  •  a visit to Amboseli or Chyulu Hills during the dry season will offer breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro  •  your best chance to see leopards on this safari is during your time at the Maasai Mara  •  the photo hides at Ol Donyo are optimally situated to observe the famous “big tuskers” in the area  •  the ranches and conservancies within Laikipia are among best places to see the elusive black rhino  •  few environments are better-suited to the swift cheetah than the plains of the Maasai Mara.

Clockwise from Top Left: an aerial view of Ol Donyo, with the Chyulu Hills in the background  •  Lewa Wilderness’ understated luxury underscores the openness of Laikipia  •  the interior of the main lounge tent at Sala’s  •  in Amboseli, each of the tents at Tortilis offers stunning views of Kilimanjaro  •  the luxury canvas tents at Mara Expedition are undoubtedly comfortable – but at the same time, doesn’t detract from an immersive ‘bush experience’  •  the spacious villas at Solio are a great place to relax after a day of activities in Laikipia.

Clockwise from Top Left: this itinerary includes a visit to a Maasai village  •  going on a game drive is the best way to keep up with predators, like cheetahs, on the prowl  •  some of the camps & lodges in this itinerary have stables for guests to go on horseback safaris  •  there’s no place like the Maasai Mara for a “bush breakfast”  •  the biplane at Lewa Wilderness Lodge provides thrilling aerial views of Laikipia  •  silently floating above the Maasai Mara aboard a hot air balloon is a must-do!

AAC Clients on their Kenya Flying Safari

Aloha Mark & Company:

Thank you for a truly amazing adventure. We encountered no hiccups or issues along our adventures, and truly grateful for what we saw and experienced – it was smooth sailing throughout every leg of our journey. The camps were terrific, food was great, and they even accommodated our gluten and dairy free diet.

The staff at both Solio and Sala’s were amazing, while our guides at Solio were top notch – every outing was educational and entertaining! The balance of animals between and diversity between each area was perfect.

All in all, we loved all aspects of our itinerary and arrangements. We will definitely recommend The Africa Adventure Company to family and friends, and definitely be back to plan another African adventure with you.

Hi AAC Staff,

Thanks for another superb trip! We had a great time. Very happy that Ol Donyo and Mara Plains provided our own private vehicle and guide for all of our drives. Makes for many happy guests, I’m sure!

Fantastic trip for cats. Saw many, many lions, cheetah, leopards and even a caracal. I was thrilled to see all these gorgeous, elegant cats!! The conservancy had plenty of healthy herds of plains game as well.

The guides at both Ol Donyo and Mara Plains were superb!! In particular, we loved Daniel – such an intelligent, thoughtful and kind person. We will ask for him again if we travel back to Kenya.

The accommodations at Ol Donyo and Mara Plains are no doubt luxurious; the private pool was wonderful, as was a night spent in the star-bed. But we never thought that it detracted from Africa’s wild ambiance. The daily sundowners and breakfasts out in the bush while at Mara Plains were extra special.

Thank you for the arrangements you made on our behalf. All our charter flights, pickups and drop-offs went off without a hitch. It made for a seamless, stress-free safari. I already can’t wait to go back!
